BIO

Hey there! I’m Juan Peralta—brand-new dad, cheesy husband, and a bit of a restless soul. It might sound cliché, but music has always been my life passion. What started as a fun game in my childhood by singing "Triana" songs with my brother Rafa, has grown into a career. Even now, it still feels like the same joyful game from back then.I’m naturally curious and a bit intense, which has led me on a wild ride over the past almost 30 years. I’ve had the chance to work on all kinds of projects with some truly amazing people. To name a few cool things: I composed music for the 2023 film Quiero tu Vida, produced by Salma Hayek, and created tracks for ads for brands like Coca-Cola, Lexus USA, and Aeromexico. I’ve also worked with artists like Martin Garrix and Tony Succar, and picked up awards at competitions like the Indie Film Music Contest 2020 and the Trumpetland Stars International Competition 2014. On the orchestral side, I’ve collaborated with conductors like Daniel Barenboim, Valery Gergiev, or Jaap van Zweden. Plus, I ran a music store in Granada and co-founded “Orelar” in Napa, California, with my good friend Jeff Murrel. It all might sound a bit random, but each experience has taught me something priceless.While I was busy with all this (and way more), I graduated from the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música "Victoria Eugenia" in Granada and then headed to the Netherlands to get my Master’s in Orchestral Music from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. There, I got my position as a trumpet player with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and worked with other great orchestras like the Rotterdam Philharmonic and the National Ballet of Amsterdam.
